Luau

On Saturday of this past weekend, we went with some friends to the Franklin Park Conservatory for their (annual?) Luau. If it isn't an annual event, it really should be.

Come on guys!

It was a beautiful day, and the warm sunshine made the conservatory even brighter. It was a perfect day for a luau, and it really made me feel like spring was here.

We saw a fruit carving competition, and a performance by a local high school steel drum band.

Apparently the high school has a huge steel drum band, and they only brought a small group of students, as their entire steel drum ensemble would have filled the entire room, and left no room for the spectators! I think I would like to see a performance by the whole group.
