Poko

We lovelovelove Poko.

Lex picked up a Poko DVD at the library about a month ago, and I shrugged it off, having no idea what it was. I set it back down, and he picked it back up again. He seemed set on his choice, so we checked it out and brought it home.

I'm so glad that Lex found this series. It's a stop animation children's program from Canada, and not only is is the sweetest thing that I have ever seen, but the boys love it. They are totally absorbed by it, and it makes them laugh out loud several times per episode. The episodes are cheery and fun, and the message is usually about how toddlers can problem solve and control their emotions. We typically watch an episode in the afternoon to wind down a little bit before nap time.

If you've got small children, you should watch Poko!

Picking out movies is one of my VERY FAVORITE childhood memories. We'd go to the Pickaway County library, and they had a photocopy of the box for each movie laminated in thick plastic and stuck in the kind of racks you see records displayed in. And we'd thumb through those racks for hours, trying to find something that wasn't made in 1970. I'm sure things are different at your library, but I'm sure the same kinds of memories are being created.
