We went Strawberry Picking

On the morning of our sixth anniversary, we went strawberry picking at the local farm.

Connor was really into picking the strawberries, even though he didn't want to eat them. Lex, on the other hand, was basically there to eat as many strawberries as he could. He would yank on the strawberry, stick it in his mouth, and then toss the leafy top into our basket. His whole face was covered in strawberry mess by the time we left.

We took Grandpa and Nana and some friends with us, too. Altogether, we ended up with a little more than 18 pounds of strawberries!

We re-staged one of our favorite photos of Connor, by the bushel basket of strawberries.

Then, we left the strawberries there, and Lex climbed up there to eat strawberries, too.

I swear that this was not staged, he was just hungry. Even after all the strawberries he ate at the farm, the peach that he picked off the farmer's market stand, and some chocolate anniversary cake.
