It is (finally) finished

If you have been in my basement anytime in the past 2 and a half (or so) years, then I'm sure you have seen my art easel set up with a certain unfinished painting sitting on it.

It's been so long now that I'm not even sure when I started the painting. Was it before I was pregnant with Lex?

I do recall that Kevin said that he thought it was going to be a birthday present for Connor's 2nd birthday...but it wasn't finished in time for that.

I know that I stopped working on it when I was put on bed rest when I was pregnant with Lex, during July of 2009. That was shortly after Connor's 2nd birthday.

I don't recall doing any work on the painting at all since Lex arrived.

But, tonight, I finally set about finishing it up. And so, two years since I last touched the painting...I finished it.


I shall let it dry tonight, and then I think we shall have a painting hanging ceremony tomorrow in Connor's room.

Perhaps if I start working on a painting for Lex's room now I can have one finished by the time he moves out to go to college.
