This morning, Connor and I had breakfast with Lex. It was a good time. We all sat at the kitchen table and talked and laughed and ate.
This actually happens just about every morning.
On this morning, however, there was a bit of snow on the lawn outside. Even though there is still an equal, if not greater, amount of green out there, Lex was very excited about the "snowy weather outside." You see, it is the first snow we have gotten this winter, if you can even call it that.
I ate Cocoa Puffs, as did Connor. Lex, however, choose to mix his Cocoa Puffs with Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs. This might sound like a good idea, but it really isn't. The chocolate puffs in the Reese's cereal really clash with the Cocoa Puffs. To solve this problem, Lex resulted to ketchup.
Yes, he dipped his chocolate and peanut butter flavored puffs in ketchup. I'm sure it was a new low in toddler fine dining.
But, Cruiser was intrigued. He came over to investigate this new development. You see, Cruiser really likes to play with and then eat the Cocoa Puffs that the kids drop on the floor during breakfast. It seemed that he really liked the ketchup idea, because he got a bit aggressive about trying to steal directly from Lex's bowl. So Lex told him, "Cruiser get down. Mines."
I love the way that Lex disciplines his cat. It's so cute. And the way he always adds an "s" to the end of "mine" is priceless.
