take adorable photos of their families and children in front of their houses.
You know the ones I am talking about right?
First day of school photos.
Last day of school photos.
Family holiday photos with the wreath on the front door in the background.
I love the way these photos look, and I love that they document a family moment in history.
What the people looked like. Where they lived.
But.
But...
but I rarely, if ever, take these sort of photos myself.
I love my house.
I love my kids.
I love my family.
But I'm not crazy about our front door.
There are always spider webs on our front porch.
The rain doesn't reach the porch floor to wipe away our muddy footprints.
I want a wreath on the door all the time, but only really manage to get one there for Christmas.
I need help.
I need a front door makeover.
This is not a thinly-veiled cry for help.
This is a loud and clear cry for help!
Even just admitting this publicly may be enough to get me to go wipe down all the fingerprints from the front glass and go forth to purchase a heart-shaped wreath for Valentines day.
But what else does my little front porch need?
