The next morning, when Lex woke up, he stayed in his room. My first thought was about how atypical this behavior was, since he usually runs right out to find either me, Kevin or Connor. So I went in to talk to him. His first words were a request for his breakfast in bed. He had not forgotten.
Milk and chocolate doughnuts
We chatted for a bit, and when he was all done eating, he said, "Thank you for breakfast in bed, Mommy. It was very special." He is always so formal with his thank-yous and apologies!
Even though I had to change his sheets for the chocolate crumbs, it was totally worth it to make him happy.
