The White House
The National WWII Memorial
We wanted to take a family O-H-I-O photo here, but Lex would not, would not, would not participate. So Kevin and Connor agreed to do double duty. I still like it.
The Lincoln Memorial
When we set out from our hotel that afternoon to go sightseeing, we left the stroller behind. We figured that both the boys wanted to walk, and Lex was getting old enough that he probably didn't need the stroller anymore. Learn from our mistake, people. Take the darn stroller. Walking the length of the reflecting pool between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial nearly killed our children, or so they would have you believe. Granted, Lex did fall down and scrape both of his knees really well, but even Connor was complaining about how big the pool was and how far apart the two memorials were.

The Washington Monument
We played football here on the lawn by the Washington Monument for quite some time, as that was the thing that Connor most wanted to do on this outing. It was fun. You can't go in the Washington Monument right now, since the earthquake last year cracked it and set the elevator shaft off center. You can actually see some of the cracks in the monument with the naked eye. I don't know if they will ever fix it, but if they do, I want to go back and travel to the top.

(Notice the stroller made the trip on day two)
