October LEGO Monthly Mini-Build

We had been going to all the monthly LEGO mini-builds at the store in our town for about a year.  We didn't miss any.  The kids loved it, and it was a fun thing to do once a month.

And then we missed the one in July because of Red, White and Boom, our local 4th of July fireworks.

And then we missed the one in August because we were in Chantilly, VA at the Smithsonian Air and Space Center.

And then we missed the one in September because we were at my brother's wedding in Missouri.

The kids missed their monthly mini-build, so I was extra careful to make sure that we made it this month.

And for October, we built little black cats.

Note:  This month, Lex built his without any help from me at all!  He put all the pieces together himself, with a LEGO store employee guiding him with the directions.  He's gotten really good at LEGO building these past three months.
