Plants in Texas

So, yesterday, I saw these flowers at the Children's Museum:



And I want them.  Even though I don't know what they are.

I also like these plants that are in the courtyard by the pool at our apartment:




Again, I have no idea what they are.  They seem to do well in both shade and sun, though.




I have no idea what sort of plants are at the house we are buying, but I do know we have a pool, and maybe I can put a container by our pool like the one by this pool:

There are marigolds in there, and some sort of vines.  I think they might be sweet potato. 

And, since I am using my blog as external storage for my brain, I also want to remember that I like these mini palm trees.



Mini palm trees, you guys.  If we don't have them at the new house, we are going to get them.  Because I said so.
