Since it's the end of the traditional school year, I think it's time for a post to help me keep track of some of the things we did this year.
No, I'll never remember everything.
In general, though, Lex continued to work on the Preschool levels on ABC Mouse. He's also working on the Hooked on Phonics program.
Connor finished the 1st Grade Daily Science workbook that he used this year. He is also working on a workbook all about the State of Texas. We have some Spanish workbooks and a Daily Calendar Math Journal that we are still using.
We used Study Ladder for his online program for first grade. I like it because it progresses at the pace of the child using it, without respect for grade levels. He started at the beginning of all the first grade levels in September. He's nearly done with third grade math right now, about 2/3 of the way through second grade reading, and he just finished first grade spelling. I think spelling is his least favorite subject. And science must be his favorite, because he finished all of the chemistry, biology and physics on the entire site!
For math, we read Life of Fred: Apples, Butterflies and Cats.
For history, we watched Liberty Kids, which covered the entire American Revolution. Connor loved it. Lex, not so much. But they have both decided that their favorite character was General George Washington. Ben Franklin came in a close second, though.
