Mayborn Museum Complex at Baylor University

The Mayborn Museum Complex is one half natural history museum and one half children's museum, and we had 100% fun there.

We started on the natural history side of things, and we saw bones.

Columbian Mammoth.  The tusks got so big they overlapped!

Columbian Mammoth teeth.  Definitely used for eating plants.

There were no dinosaurs in Texas.  Mostly because Texas was covered by a shallow sea during the Cretaceous Period.  So there were prehistoric aquatic reptiles, like this pliosaur and sea turtle.

There was also a full-scale replica of some of the bones from the Waco Mammoth Site.

After seeing all the natural history exhibits, we went over to the children's museum side of the complex.
