Is it too late for a summer reading list?
Summer lasted here until it snowed last week. And I'm not really kidding. It was 80 degrees one day, and the next it was 18. No exaggeration. Deserts are weird.
I feel like I read a lot of books this summer, but I think that's because many of them were actually short stories. And because summer lasted until the first week of November according to my version of the world.
An Abundance of Katherines
Looking for Alaska
The Fault in Our Stars all by John Green
Dorothy Must Die
No Place Like Oz both by Danielle Paige
Before I Fall
Delirium
Pandemonium
Requiem all by Lauren Oliver
The Giver (again)
Gathering Blue
Messenger
Son all by Lois Lowry
Divergent (again)
Four the Initiate
Four the Son
Four the Transfer
Four the Traitor
Free Four all by Veronica Roth
Half Bad by Sally Green
Legend
Prodigy
Champion
Life Before Legend all by Marie Wu
The Hunger Games (again)
Mocking Jay (again) both by Suzanne Collins
Vampires in the Lemon Grove by Karen Russell
The Astronaut Wives Club by Lily Koppel
Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis (again, with Connor, again)
I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944 by Lauren Tarshis (with Connor)
The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank (I decided Connor wouldn't be that interested in this one, despite the fact that he really liked I Survived the Nazi Invasion, so I read it alone)
Robe of Skulls
Bag of Bones
The Heart of Glass all by Vivian French (with Connor, it's his new favorite series - Tales from the Five Kingdoms - and there are more books)
Each and every book on this list was wonderful and I can recommend all of them.
