There is a farm pretty close to our house, and sometimes we go there to buy duck eggs.
We went last week before Easter to buy two dozen duck eggs, and to look at the baby bunnies and baby chicks. Connor and Lex thought that maybe they wanted a baby bunny for a pet for about a second, until they realized that having a dog was better. But those baby bunnies sure are soft and fluffy! I'm glad that we got to visit them before Easter.
The baby chicks were pretty cute, too. Some of them were pecking at the walls like they were trying to escape, which the boys thought was hilarious.
Even Tik came along, and he was very well behaved. He didn't growl at or chase the big fat barn cats, though the cats didn't seem to like him. He did growl at the baby goats, though. I dunno why. They were pretty funny.
When we were leaving, Connor told me that it was almost like a real field trip!
