In which we visit the Texas Capitol

The Texas State Capitol in Austin is beautiful.

The Goddess of Liberty, based on the Goddess Athena, and represents truth, justice and art.  Depending on who you ask.  She's got a pretty badass sword.

The grounds all around the Capitol Building are filled with all sorts of sculptures and monuments.

This is a replica of the Statue of Liberty that was erected in 1951 by the Boy Scouts of America.

This is a replica of the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., honoring the 22,000 Texans who died in service during WWII.

Perhaps when the boys are older, we will do an architectural study and maybe a tour of the inside of the building.
