At Lex's last soccer game, he decided to give his team a pep talk before the game started.
That kid is a natural leader.
So, he took it upon himself to tell his coach that he was ready to give the pep talk to his team.
And it when like this:
"Never give up. Because one time, I gave up, and then I got kicked in the balls."
Pretty powerful stuff. Nevermind the fact that 7 out of 10 kids on his team are girls and really had no idea of the gravity of this situation.
Since then, it's sorta become our family motto.
Never give up, so you don't get kicked in the balls.
Maybe I should embroider that on a throw pillow.
