Today, a certain little boy named Connor turned 9 years old!
He started celebrating this past weekend with a little swimming and slumber party with one of his best friends.
Then, this morning, bright and early, he woke up to open his present before Daddy had to go to work.
It was very early. Much earlier than usual.
Lex had a hard time waking up and staying awake long enough to watch Connor unwrap his present.
He got a new gaming computer, which is exactly what he wanted, and also, he says, the best birthday present that he has ever received in his entire life. Which has been a long 9 years now.
After we spent the morning at home playing with his new computer and getting it set up (or at least starting to), we went over to another friend's house to play for the afternoon. They got into all sorts of different things, but my favorite was the Mentos and Diet Coke eruptions.
Afterwards, we met Daddy back at home when he was finished with work, and we played on the new computer again for a bit before dinner.
Connor picked Buffalo Wild Wings as his restaurant of choice tonight. No one was surprised.
Finally, we came home for a little celebration.
He didn't want a cake this year. He asked me to make brownies instead.
Stay tuned...we are planning another party for tomorrow night!
