Where we live: Rabbits & Rainbows Edition

These were just babies.  Tik is really interested in catching a baby bunny, but he isn't fast enough.  He doesn't go for the full grown jackrabbits, because they are as big as he is.  Some are even bigger!

The other night, it got really dark and stormy.  Once it finally began to rain a little bit, the sunlight came back, but it was a weird yellow light, and the sky was orange.  I looked out the window to check out the strange light coming into the house, and there was an orange sky with a double rainbow.

We planted lavender, garlic, marigolds, rosemary, citronella and mint in containers this year to keep the bugs off our patio.  It seems to be working wonderfully.  There are so many fewer mosquitoes and flies this year.
