Crazy Horse

Crazy Horse was a Native American war leader of the Oglala Lakota, whose name literally translates to "His-Horse-is-Crazy."  And that seems like a pretty big distinction to me.  Is he crazy or is his horse crazy?  Or would you have to be crazy to ride a crazy horse?

There really isn't a whole lot to do at the Crazy Horse Monument, so we decided to have dinner at the restaurant there.  There were great views of the monument from our table.

Lex pretending that he's in family vacation jail.  Can't take these kids anywhere.  (Not really, they are good on trips. That's why we go on so many.)

After dinner and looking at the monument, we explored the museum on site.  There were exhibits dedicated to the carving of the mountain, as well as the life of Crazy Horse and Native American culture.

Someday this monument will be done, and it will be amazing to see.
