Trunk or Treat

On Friday evening, we loaded the kids and their friend and assorted Halloween things into the car and headed to our local drive-in movie theater for a Halloween carnival.

Trunk or Treat

There was going to be a Halloween carnival, trunk or treat, and then two family-friendly Halloween movies.  Unfortunately, when we got there, we found out that the movies never arrived, and they wouldn't be showing anything that night.  Fortunately, they were waiving the admission fee and carrying on with the carnival and trunk or treat.

Trunk or Treat

Tik was a really good dog.  He sat on the edge of the trunk the whole time, letting assorted kids pet him.  He only barked at two costumes, one being a giant T-Rex, and the other being a full grown werewolf.

Connor dressed as a skeleton, their friend was a giant baby, and Lex was Kylo Ren.

Trunk or Treat

They got a ton of candy and won lots of pop and popcorn at the carnival.  They had a great time, and we left as soon as they were done and we ran out of candy to pass out to the other kids.  We took a ton of the popcorn home with us, having had the idea of watching Halloween movies at home, but once we got there, the kids got more interested in playing games.

Even though it didn't turn out as planned, everyone had a good time.  We will be going Trick or Treating again tonight, so there will be even more fun, friends and candy.

Happy Halloween!
