Sleep! It's a thing we need! (A Photo Timeline)

So, on Sunday night, we put the boys to bed as per the usual.  Well, except there was an extra dash of cuteness.

Awww, aren't Lex and Tik so cute, all snuggled in together?

Well, Monday morning, when I woke up to take Tik out at 6 am, this is what I found in the living room.



One small seven-year old boy, sleeping on hard chairs with a blanket over his head, and his computer game timed out because he had fallen asleep.  No one knew he had gotten up and started playing video games in the night, because he did it so sneakily and quietly.  Like a ninja.

But I can guess that he was up playing on his computer pretty much all night long.  Because he was exhausted.



He probably would have slept on the couch all day long, if we had let him.

But I decided that enough was enough, and that if he slept all day, he would stay up all night again.  So, I woke him up around 11 AM.



He wasn't thrilled.  And then he got grounded from the computer for a whole week because of his little middle of the night video game stunt.  He wasn't thrilled with that, either.

But we managed to keep him awake until around 5 PM, when we had to get into the car...
