Synergy

Today I took the boys to the Cobb Energy Performance Center for the first time to see a program called Synergy.  It was put on by the Visual Arts, Music, Theater and Dance departments of Kennesaw State University.  It was kind of like a huge recital.  We saw all sorts of things, like a Japanese drum core performance, which I think was everyone's favorite, even if it was the shortest bit.

Connor said he also really liked the Jazz band performance.  Another thing I really liked was the trumpet ensemble.  There was a dance performance where all the dancers were wearing wheelie shoes.  And there was a theater performance of an Anansi story. There were also many other things...

That's a chorus performance of Odysseus and the Sirens.

It was a wonderful performance and the boys made some new friends with some other homeschoolers, and we all went out to lunch afterwards.

Happy field trip day!
