So, we did.
After the kids went to bed, we set up a Christmas tree and the stockings. We wrapped up their Easter baskets and chocolate bunnies to look like Christmas presents. We filled the stockings with Easter candy.
Kevin even set out a plate for Santa with carrots for his reindeer.
The next morning, we dressed in our Christmas pajamas and pretended that it was Christmas morning!
Connor realized that it was an April Fools prank right away, but Lex was really confused about why Santa was stealing the Easter Bunny's thunder for a while.
So, before you watch this next video, you need to know that Connor had a very loose molar that was causing him some trouble since the day before. It was ready to come out, but he couldn't get it out. In fact, he cracked it and part of it fell out, and the rest was in a weird spot that was making it hard for him to talk and impossible for him to eat. He didn't eat any Easter candy until later that day when he finally got it out. There was blood, but the tooth fairy brought him money two nights in a row. $5 for the partial tooth the first night, and $10 when he got the rest out the next night.
After we were done with all the Easter gifts, Kevin played another prank on the boys. He said he was going to start the movie Hop, but instead, he put in the new It movie. We watched it until Georgie met his gruesome end, but then we turned it off, because it was too scary. Connor had fled the scene because he hates scary movies. Lex probably would have watched the whole thing. But, we watched Justice League instead.
I dyed the pancakes to match the plates.
Lex got a new gaming headset.
Connor got a new computer case. It's a little bigger than his old one.
Selfie in the Church drop-off line
After church we went to the movies and watched Ready Player One. When we got home, we had an Easter Egg hunt.
After that, we watched Daddy's Home 2. Apparently the box that the computer case came in was the perfect spot to watch the movie.
Happy Easter and April Fools!
