Sidebar: I just looked the word muster up in the dictionary, because I was interested in how it came to be used this way, and I've decided that muster is a really fun word.
muster v. -tr. 1. a. To summon or assemble (troops). b. To convene or collect together. 2. To collect or gather: Muster up your courage. - intr. To assemble or gather: mustering for inspection. -phrasal verbs. muster in or out. To enlist (someone) in or discharge (someone) from military service: mustered in at the age of eighteen. -n. 1. a. A gathering or collection: a muster of business leaders at a luncheon.
Anyways, we left our tent up in the backyard for a few days, and as you probably know, it rained and then stormed. We went outside the night before last, after the rain, and the tent was dry on the inside and held up very nicely. Then, last night, we went out to check on it after the storm. The wind had blown one of the tie downs for the rain fly off, but other than that, it was still all securely there. Even on the one side where the rain fly had moved a little bit, the inside of the tent was still dry, so we are very pleased with it. We took it down last night and moved it into the garage so that it can dry. The tent takes up a good portion of the garage, and it seems to be as big as my SUV! We are going to let it dry today, and tonight we are planning to put some seam sealer on it in a few places, as recommended, just in case.
But, I'm a happy girl.
