At my doctor's visit yesterday, they put a little microphone with a digital readout on my belly so that I could hear the baby's heartbeat, and they could measure how quickly it was beating.
I thought it was a sonogram, but I just looked it up, and a sonogram and an ultrasound are pretty much the same thing, so that's not what this test is called. I suppose I'll have to ask about it next time I go in, since they said that they would check at every visit from now on.
Even though I don't know what the test was called, it was pretty neat.
