Polar Frontier

The Polar Frontier opened up earlier this month at the zoo. We've been waiting to see the polar bears ever since. In fact, on May 6th, the day that it opened, Connor had some sort of 6th sense that it was opening day. On that morning, he told me that the polar bears were open today, and that he wanted to go see them. I have no idea how he knew that.

Nom nom nom. Mommy, this seat belt is yummy!

His casual smile belies the fact that the entrance to the Polar Frontier was miles and miles from the front gate of the zoo, and that we had been walking for, like, ever.

Hello there!

The underwater viewing area, while a neat experience, was entirely too small. And cramped. And hot.

Family photo.

Our wagons. Oh, and us. And some bears.

Sleepy bear.

I love bear paws. This is the perfect bear pose, in my opinion. He looks so smug. And pleased with himself.

Ethan and Sara. So happy!

Noah and Jason. So tired!
