Bloom Report

When I first opened the curtains after coming home from our vacation, I was greeted with red and orange lilies in my garden. They had bloomed while we were away, and their appearance was somewhat of a surprise to me! A pleasant surprise, of course.

I call this the fire stage of my garden blooms. Soon I think that the pink and purple stage will begin. I am really looking forward to it!

We have blueberries!
(Except for the fact that they are still green.)
We also have unripened raspberries.
The strawberries and mint are ready to eat, though,
and we snack on them while playing in the back yard.

We are probably the last to try it,
but we finally bought a Topsy-Turvey tomato planter.
Kevin had to have it.
It can't be any less succesful than our previous attempts at tomato gardening.
(I am not a vegetable gardener. I can grow flowers, berries and herbs. And that's that.)

My rose bush is just about spent.
I trimmed it this morning in hopes that it may bloom again before the fall.
