And then we visited the Shedd Aquarium

Did you know that Soldier Field, the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium and the Shedd Aquarium are all located together on the Chicago Museum campus?  You can walk from one to another to the next.  Which is pretty much what we did.

We used our local zoo membership to get into the Shedd Aquarium, but this basically granted us access to a fish tank in the gift shop.  The the really cool displays were add-ons, and while I was glad that we didn't also have to pay for basic admission, it was a pricy place to visit for just a few hours.  Which is all we had left in us by the time we got there.

Nevertheless, we did get to see the almost the whole place, and it was pretty cool.  We saw a diver in a tank do a show, all the main aquariums, and the special areas with the jellyfish, penguins and sharks.

Photo dump?  Okay.

 Lex kisses Mommy.
So Sweet.

 Jellyfish are so graceful.

 I *heart* penguins.

 Connor and Lex love stingrays.

Especially when they are right underfoot!

I feel like the camera never quite captures the vibrant colors of tropical fish.

Shark!
