Sea Life Aquarium

When we visted the Lego Land Discovery Center in Dallas, we were offered a chance to buy combination tickets so that we could also explore the Sea Life Aquarium.  It looked like fun, so we decided to give it a go.

We went with Papa Kirk and Grandma Ella, and I think we all had a good time. The aquarium had a ton of fish, and there was a scavenger hunt for kids to complete, which Connor was very excited to complete for his prize at the end.

This is a sting ray, hiding under the sand.

I really liked this eel.

Lex liked just about everything.

Jellyfish!

This was the Shark Walk.  This entire section was full of glass floors, as well as windows on the walls, and the tank was full of all kinds of sharks.  It was so exciting that the boys wanted to revisit this area twice.  We spent a lot of time here.

Lex and some seahorses.

We watched them feed the seahorses.  They ate micro shrimp, and they swallowed them whole.  Then, they peeled the shrimp inside their mouth and vented the sheels out a vent in the back of their heads.  It was awesome to watch.  Little puffs of cloud kept coming out of the back of their heads.
