Stories from Our 7th Anniversary: The Beginning

The best way to kick off any anniversary celebration is a trip to the farm down the road for a little strawberry picking

This year, we only picked a small bucket full of strawberries, since we knew that we wouldn't be home to make preserves or cake.  And Lex was the first officer in charge of carrying the bucket.  He did a really good job, and made sure that he didn't shake the strawberries up too much.  He didn't want to smash them.

Connor took this photo of Lex and I.  He's getting so good with the camera.  This was a single-shot take.

Connor still didn't want to eat any strawberries, even though he did enjoy picking them.

This year, Lex didn't eat too many while at the farm.  He was a good boy and waited for us to pay for the strawberries and take them home to wash them first.

My wonderful husband.  He is the reason we go strawberry picking in May for our anniversary.

So, we took our strawberries, washed them and cut them up so that the would be a tasty treat for the next part of our anniversary celebration:  the drive to Chicago!
