Connor's 6th Birthday: Part Two

Connor invited some of his friends to join us for his Birthday Special at COSI this year, and we had a very nice time playing with our friends in the exhibit areas. We also had a nice cupcake lunch, and many of his friends surprised him with birthday gifts. It turned out to be a very very nice time, so I'm glad that Connor thought it up!





He picked out red, yellow, green and blue cupcakes, and NFL themed plates and napkins for his luncheon.



Lex licked all the icing off of a yellow cupcake, and then he licked all the icing off of a red cupcake.  He was orange by the time he was done.







In the Ocean area:

I still love this statute of Neptune.

We watched a weather show during which an un-sharpened pencil was shot through a block of wood using a hurricane gun.  At the end of the show, the presenter gave all the kids in the audience a chance to win the block of wood by answering a trivia question from the show.  The first kid to correctly answer how fast the pencil was shot at the wood, got to take it home.  Connor won!  (And by the way, the answer was 110 mph.)

Connor loves Rat Basketball!

This was the first trip to COSI when Connor was old enough to go into the Big Kid Hangout room in Little KidSpace.  He was so excited to do it with one of his friends while Lex and the little kids played in the area for kids in kindergarten and younger.

Because now he is SIX YEARS OLD!

And that means First Grade.
