This year, to celebrate our 11th anniversary, we went back to California, but this time, a little bit further north. We flew into San Jose and then drove up to San Francisco.
On the first full day of our vacation, the very first thing we did was tour Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, and the recent location of Super Bowl 50. It's a brand new stadium, and we stayed in the brand new Hilton right next to it. Also right there was Great America, an amusement park. We didn't know it was there, so we hadn't planned any time to check it out, much to the kids' chagrin.
But, the stadium tour was pretty awesome, so we were happy with that. And now, photos:
We met these cheerleaders, but Connor and Lex wouldn't take a photo with them.
There is a garden terrace on the roof of the stadium.
This is one of the visiting team locker rooms. I think our tour guide said that there were three identical rooms for visiting teams, plus the 49ers locker and training room.
This is the cheerleaders' locker room.
The cheerleaders also have a dance studio inside the stadium.
There is also a 49ers Hall of Fame Museum inside the stadium.
Lex really enjoyed running around the interactive kids' area of the museum.
Current status of Connor's NFL Stadium Project:
17 stadiums down. 15 to go!
