Legion of Honor

We had such a good time at the de Young Museum that we decided to visit its companion museum, the Legion of Honor.

We were very glad that there was a large selection of Rodin art here, because Kevin wasn't with us when we toured the Rodin Museum in Philadelphia.

There was a reproduction of one of my very favorite statues ever, the Laocoon Group.

Lex was up to his old tricks with the camera again.  In fact, he was the only one who took any photos in the special Egyptian exhibit with the mummies, which was fabulous, but there isn't a single photo from that part that isn't blurry.  No matter.  We have our memories.  And our blurry photos to jog them.

But we did end up with some great photos of our favorite things.

Um, let's just talk about this beautiful painting.  It was gorgeous.  It was also huge.  It was more than 9 feet by 12 feet.  It made the museum wall look small, and you know those are big.
