Chinese New Year Festival

This past weekend we went to the Atlanta Chinese New Year Festival.  We went last year, too, and I think we will make a point to go next year as well.  It is a wonderful festival that takes place at our local China Town.

I really liked these dancers.  They were awesome.

After we were done eating, we wandered around trying to find other VIPKID teachers that were there.  It was too crowded for us to locate anyone, though.  But, we found another whole section of the festival this year. Two more tents and another building! It is actually much larger than we realized!

Our favorite thing last year was the lion dance, so we made sure to be in the right spot at the right time to see it again this year.

We fed the lions some money to bring good luck and good fortune for the next year!

Happy Year of the Pig!

Connor is a pig.  I mean, he was born in the year of the pig.  He is supposed to wear red underwear or socks every day for the year to ward against bad luck.
